Another NEIS Success Story

The New Make-Up Brush Line

Belle James has worked as a Make-Up Artist for the past decade and during this time found it difficult to source quality, beautiful make-up brushes that were also affordable for most women. Having seen a gap in the market, Belle says “I was inspired to create my own line of brushes that satisfied all these requirements." After years of research and development, she recently launched her new brand PRUSH, a set of hand-made brushes with beautifully soft vegan hair, wooden handles and copper ferrules, with matching cosmetic bag made from vegan patent leather.

There has already been much interest in her new brand of brushes, with the local newspaper covering her business journey. When asked where she would like to see her business heading in the future, Belle says "I would love to expand my range of brushes and feature PRUSH in many shops overseas, including Europe, Asia and the USA. I would also like to eventually introduce PRUSH's own line of makeup, but am focusing mainly on brushes for now."

Belle completed the NEIS program in 2016. Two years on, she still appreciates the benefits she gained from the program. "NEIS was a fantastic course for many reasons. It was structured very well and as a result gave me the tools to create a business plan. I learnt very useful tips on how to manage accounting and marketing for my business, which have been extremely useful moving forward. I highly recommend NEIS to anyone wishing to start a new business but doesn't know where to start."
