XESIV Digital

Meet Aarron Attwell - the owner and founder of XESIV Digital.

Aarron is a graduate of the NEIS program and is a man on a mission is to connect the best local service businesses with customers who’re needing their help.

Aarron’s business, XESIV Digital, is an Albany based Digital Marketing Agency that helps local service businesses grow their revenue and find success online by utilising tactical search engine marketing and customer generation websites.

He's a graduate of the NEIS program, and we caught up with Aarron to ask him a few questions.

Firstly, Why Digital Marketing?

I got involved in digital marketing because it's a skill set that can help other businesses make more money. It's as simple as that.

If a business isn’t utilising the power of the internet in 2019 - they’re leaving money on the table and this is hurting business owners both personally and professionally.

If a local service business is looking to make money from the internet they have to:

1.    Get seen by their customers

2.    Build enough trust with their customers online so their customers will make contact & ask for help.

Most local business’s we see are leaving so much money on the table because their customers are not seeing them or if they are being seen, they are pushing customers away because of their poorly designed websites.

A website does 1 of 2 things - it either brings you more business or it pushes business away, and unfortunately, most local business’s we see are pushing customers away with their current online presence.

Before working with XESIV Digital - our clients are often on page 2-3 of Google and have ugly, outdated websites that don’t accurately represent the organisation.

After working with our team - they are getting seen on Google when their customers are looking for their help and have a beautiful website that generates leads and makes a business look as good online as they are in real life.

They lead generation systems we create for local businesses can change the future of that business and that’s why I got into digital marketing - because of the positive, lasting impact, it can have.

What motivated you to enroll in the NEIS Program?

I didn’t see alignment with being an employee, so I know I would become a business owner. I saw the potential to live the life I wanted through building a “big business” where everything is running by systems, where I can control my life and generate an income without trading my time for money.

I identified a gap in the market in my local area, which is also currently a growth industry, and it was a personality match for myself, so I went applied for the NEIS program to help build by a digital marketing agency.

As a startup - you need all the help you can get, so I saw NEIS as a way to get assistance, surround myself with like-minded people and get mentorship to build the business I wanted.

Explain your journey through the NEIS program?

My journey was long. My journey was over 15 months, and it started with a 3-week online training program, building a detailed business plan, getting my NEIS application approved and then getting to work.

I spoke with my mentor, Eric Clock, at least once a month, and we met each ¼ to see how XESIV Digital was progressing. We discussed if we are hitting our targets? What challenges are we facing? Things such as this.

Eric coached me during the early stages of business development. My journey with NEIS concluded in late Jan 2019 after the 12-month on the program.

I’m now walking on my own two feet with a team, a growing business and clients all around the world.

KNOWLEDGE!  The most difficult part was the business plan but conversely this was the most valuable.  It gave me the tools I needed to forecast and measure the success of my business and it is something I refer to frequently (oh the optimism I had when compiling my figures!)

What did you gain by enrolling in the NEIS program?

I gained a lot of things.

I learned a lot of knowledge that I didn't previously have and a new perspective on many subjects I already felt competent in. The best tangible “thing” I got out of NEIS was a business plan.

Developing a business plan is a great exercise! It forced me to put a lot of the ideas I had onto paper, and I had never completed that exercise before.

With NEIS I had a template to work off and a lot of support during the development of my business plan.

It wasn’t alone during this challenging stage of starting a business because I had the team from NEIS. If I had to summarise what I gained from enrolling in the NEIS program, I would say it was support, systems and skills.

What advice would you have for people considering enrolling in the NEIS program?

I would say that if you’re serious about building a business for yourself, being your own boss and being able to take control of your future - then do it but take it seriously.

If you have never built a business before, it is going to be challenging. There is much to learn, many skills to develop and you need all the help you can get.

Business is a vehicle through which you can grow yourself so if you’re serious, take on-board everything NEIS has to offer and once the course is over - don’t stop learning.

To go somewhere you have never been; you have to do something you have never done.

I say this because it’s true.

To change your life you have to change yourself. You have to build yourself so you can build the business.

Building a business will be one of the hardest things you have ever done so if you’re serious then go for it, stay strong, be brave & courageous when fearful and don’t stop walking forward...hopefully with the NEIS team at your back.

Aarron mentions the two highlights of running his own business are personal growth and time freedom. XESIV Digital also closed $10 000 in business in February 2019.
